Swoon over Shakespeare? Think Doug Fabrizio is pretty fabulous? The RadioWest team is heading south to the Utah Shakespeare Festival for live shows Thursday, August 25th and Friday, August 26th. What’s a live radio show without a live audience? Join us on the Eccles Grand Promenade at the EngelstadTheatre for behind-the-scene scoops on the current productions of Henry V and Much Ado About Nothing while watching your favorite radio show live in action.

Come, let us thither! It won’t be the same without you.

  • Thursday, August 25th – Henry V, featuring director Brian Vaughn, actor Sam Ashdown and Shakespearean scholar James Mardock.
  • Friday, August 26th – Much Ado About Nothing and Shakespeare’s Women, featuring director David Ivers, actress Kim Martin-Cotten and scholar Kate McPherson.

Live show begins at 11:00 a.m. – please arrive and be seated by 10:50 a.m., the broadcast will conclude at 12:00 p.m.

Doug Fabrizio has been reporting for KUER News since 1987, and became News Director in 1993. In 2001, he became host and executive producer of KUER's RadioWest, a one hour conversation/call-in show on KUER 90.1 in Salt Lake City. He has gained a reputation for his thoughtful style. He has interviewed everyone from Isabel Allende to the Dalai Lama, and from Madeleine Albright to Desmond Tutu. His interview skills landed him a spot as a guest host of the national NPR program, "Talk of the Nation." He has won numerous awards for his reporting and for his work with RadioWest and KUED's Utah NOW from such organizations as the Society of Professional Journalists, the Utah Broadcasters Association, the Public Radio News Directors Association and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
