Thursday, we’re talking about the latest play from Salt Lake Acting Company. It’s the story of a conservative baker who has to choose between her convictions and her love for her oldest friend’s lesbian daughter. Playwright Bekah Brunstetter says it’s today’s vitriol that made her want to write a piece with a conservative protagonist who wasn’t “the enemy.” Brunstetter and others join us to talk about our divisions and the power of listening and love. “Love,” says the baker, “is always harder.”
