The Telling Room

The writer Michael Paterniti joins us Wednesday to talk about his new book, The Telling Room. It's about cheese, but not just any cheese. The fabled Páramo de Guzmán is a rare and little known cheese prized by presidents, kings and dictators, and said to have magical qualities. Paterniti became so enamored with Páramo de Guzmán that he moved his family to the remote Spanish village where it’s made. He hoped to find something mystical there. Instead, he got wrapped up in a tale of betrayal, revenge and murder: all for the love of cheese.
