Through the Lens: Man From Reno

With our next film in our documentary series Through the Lens, we’re trying something completely different. Man from Reno isn’t a documentary. It’s a feature film by former Utah filmmaker Dave Boyle. This neo-noir thriller follows a Japanese mystery author on her strange journey through San Francisco. Her story collides with that of a small-town sheriff investigating a possibly connected missing-person case. Boyle joins us Wednesday to talk about his film and his fascination with Japanese culture.NOTE: Due to technical difficulties, our scheduled interview with Dave Boyle on Monday, February 9, was rescheduled to Tuesday, February 10. Breaking news regarding the excommunication of John Dehlin from the LDS Church compelled us to again reschedule Boyle's appearance. We apologize any  inconvenience.

On Wednesday, February 11, RadioWest and the Utah Film Center are screening Man from Reno at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center in Salt Lake City at 7 p.m. It's part of our Through the Lens film series. Doug Fabrizio will host a Q&A with director Dave Boyle following the screening. The event is free and open to the public. DETAILS
