Meat Eater

Steven Rinella says his book has a lot going for it, simply because it tells one of the oldest human stories. Rinella is a writer and a television host, but more than anything he’s a hunter. His book is called Meat Eater, and it tells the story of our relationship to nature and the food we eat through his life as a hunter. Rinella joins us Friday to talk about the responsibilities that human predators have to their prey and the near disappearance of the hunter himself. (Rebroadcast)

Steven Rinella is an avid outdoorsman, writer, and television host. He is the author of The Scavenger's Guide to Haute CuisineAmerican Buffalo, and his latest Meat Eater: Adventures from the Life of an American Hunter. He's also the host of MeatEater, on Sportsman Channel.

WARNING: The following video contains graphic imagery and scenes of hunting and death.
