Tuesday, science writer Carl Zimmer joins us to talk about the power of heredity. The traits we share with our parents or kids, how does that work exactly? Zimmer says it can be a gift or a curse.

We all want to know where we come from, and popular DNA tests have offered quick answers. But can we find everything we’ve inherited from our ancestors in our genes? In a new book, science writer Carl Zimmer explores what heredity means, how we’ve thought of it in the past, and what we’re learning about it today. Zimmer joins us Tuesday.
