But the meat and bones of this year’s session will be found in Governor Cox’s budget requests — aimed at addressing housing (35 thousand starter homes in the next four years) and homelessness. This year, legislators are not only tackling the budget and other bills, but planning for the 2034 Olympics, more growth and an upcoming election.
