Renee Bright

We’re marking Thanksgiving with a conversation about Indigenous foodways.

Our guests are chef Freddie Bitsoie and writer James O. Fraioli. They’re the authors of a cookbook that celebrates the unique cuisines of the many Native American tribes around the country. Of course, there are plenty of recipes — for chocolate bison chili and prickly pear sweet pork chops — so you can mix up your Thanksgiving offerings. And we’ll learn some culinary history along the way, too. Join us this Friday at noon and Saturday at 11 a.m. for a conversation about cuisines as varied as the tribes that developed them.
