“Unforgiven” is the story of reformed outlaw William Munny, played by Eastwood. When a prostitute’s abusers get off easy, Munny is coaxed out of retirement to hunt them down. But he’s hardly the killer he used to be. Clint Eastwood held onto the script for years, waiting until he felt he was old enough to take on the role. His patience paid off; the film was a massive hit. We’re processing “Unforgiven” with the film historian Andrew Nelson and film critic Kenneth Turan.
There is a special screening of “Unforgiven” at the Broadway Centre Cinemas on Thursday, April 4. Stick around after for a discussion with the great film critic Kenneth Turan. Here are the details.
