The End of Men

Sep 12, 2013

Journalist Hanna Rosin acknowledges that the title of her new book "The End of Men" may seem obnoxious and she wants to be clear she's not trying to do away with masculinity. What Rosin is documenting is a shift in our culture: a rise of women that can be seen in college graduation patterns, the work force and even marriage statistics. Women are no longer gaining on men, they have pulled decisively ahead. Doug talks to Rosin about what this means for all of us – men and women alike. (Rebroadcast)

Hanna Rosin is a senior editor at The Atlantic and a founder and editor at DoubleX, Slate’s women’s section. She lives in Washington D.C. with her husband, daughter and two sons. Her book is called The End of Men: And the Rise of Women [Amazon | Indiebound]
