What would it take to get you to sit down and have a real conversation with someone you completely disagree with? It’s the question at the heart of the podcast Next Door Strangers, created by former KUER reporter Andrea Smardon. The process of talking and listening can be difficult, but Smardon says it’s what we need in today’s fractured culture. We’ll talk to Smardon about what she’s learning, and to conflict resolution specialist Priya Parker, whose new book is called “The Art of Gathering.”
