What if the Pledge of Allegiance ended with "liberty and justice for all ... citizens"? Tune in April 26 for our 12th radio drama with Plan-B Theatre Company.
Join us Thursday, April 26 for a live radio drama with Plan-B Theatre Company. STAND is the 12th episode in the Radio Hour series. In it, Utah playwright Matthew Ivan Bennett has created a dystopian image of America where people’s social media is monitored for unpatriotic behavior, lie detectors are routine, and the Pledge of Allegiance ends with “liberty and justice for all citizens.”
Tune in live at 9 a.m. and again at 7 p.m. MT on KUER.
Featuring Shane Mozaffari, Jay Perry and Isabella Reeder. eFoley by Joe Killian. Original music by Dave Evanoff. Designed and directed by Cheryl Cluff.
- Listen to our conversation about moments in history that led to dystopian literature with scholar Gregory Claeys. We also previewed STAND with playwright Matthew Ivan Bennett. You'll also find a list of recommended dystopian titles from local bookseller Catherine Weller of Weller Book Works.
