RadioWest and Utah Film Center have partnered to present the best in documentary filmmaking. We talk with established and new directors who are changing the way audiences see the world and then screen their films.

Through the Lens: Mea Maxima Culpa

Wednesday, we continue our Through the Lens documentary series with Oscar-winning director Alex Gibney. His film MEA MAXIMA CULPA explores the very charged issue of pedophilia in the Catholic Church. It tells the story of four men who set out to expose the priest who abused more than 200 Deaf children in a Milwaukee Catholic school. Gibney says it's not about religion, but about the abuse of power and the cover-up that wound its way to the highest offices of the church.

RadioWest and the Utah Film Center present a free screening at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6th. We are showing a fully subtitled version. Alex Gibney will join the audience via Skype immediately following the film, and an ASL interpreter will be on hand for the Q&A. [Details]
