RadioWest and Utah Film Center have partnered to present the best in documentary filmmaking. We talk with established and new directors who are changing the way audiences see the world and then screen their films.

Through the Lens: Street Fighting Men

Wednesday, we continue our Through the Lens series with a poignant film about the devastating impact economic inequality has had on America’s black working class. Utah-based filmmaker Andrew James’s documentary Street Fighting Men follows the lives of three men in Detroit as they struggle to build something lasting for themselves and future generations. James will join us to tell their stories of fighting to find steady ground in a community wracked by crime, violence, and dwindling opportunity.

UPDATED SCREENING DETAILS: On Thursday, February 1, 2018, Utah Film Center will show Street Fighting Men West Jordan, Utah at the County Library's Viridian Event Center. The screening is free and begins at 7:00 p.m. Director Andrew James will give a Q&A following the film. [More information]
