God in Proof

Tuesday, we're exploring the arguments for and against the existence of God with journalist Nathan Schneider. In a twist on Socrates, Schneider says that the unexamined God is not worth believing in and it was his own conversion that sent Schneider on a journey to understand how believers and unbelievers have sought proof of the divine. He joins Doug to explain how logic has informed faith through the ages, and how both sides of the "God divide" are closer to one another than they may think.

Nathan Schneider is an editor at Killing the Buddha, an online magazine about religion and culture. He's the author of two books, God in Proof: The Story of a Search from the Ancients to the Internet [Amazon/Indiebound] and Thank You, Anarchy: Notes from the Occupy Apocalypse [Amazon/Indiebound]
