A Department of Justice report released in October detailed “serious and widespread” racist behavior against Black and Asian-American students in Utah’s second largest school district.

In its investigation, the DOJ found hundreds of documented cases in which students and staff in the Davis School District subjected black and Asian-American students to racial epithets, racist comments and even physical assaults. All the while, school and district administrators, the report says, consistently failed to respond to student complaints of racist behavior. This Friday at 11 a.m., we’re asking what’s happening in the Davis School District and how widespread the problem of racist behavior is in Utah schools.
