Chung’s Korean birth parents placed her for adoption, and she was raised by a white family in small-town Oregon. But she struggled with racism her parents couldn’t see and questions of who she was that they couldn’t answer. So when she was going to have a child of her own, Chung set out to learn about her culture and her birth parents. Her memoir is called All You Can Ever Know.
