At nearly 40, Tova Mirvis left her marriage … and Orthodox Judaism. Tuesday, we’ll talk about leaving the world that shaped her and the journey to discover what she believes and who she really is.
When Tova Mirvis divorced her husband of 17 years, she didn't just leave her marriage. She also broke from her Orthodox Jewish faith, along with the traditions and strictures that had defined her life. It also meant risking the loss of friends, community, and potentially her own family. Mirvis has written a memoir about her journey, and she’s in Utah. Tuesday, she joins us to talk about leaving the only world she knew and discovering for herself what she believes and who she really is.
