Karen Armstrong And The Lost Art Of Scripture

Michael Lionstar

In her most recent book, The Lost Art of Scripture, religious scholar Karen Armstrong looks into the history of sacred texts, showing how religious practitioners' relationships with them have changed, and how many of us have lost sight of what they were originally written for.

Over the years, we have seen an increasing amount of arguments over the meaning of sacred texts, with different groups finding in them very different understandings to support their beliefs and behavior. In her most recent book, The Lost Art of Scripture [IndieBound|Amazon|Audible], religious scholar Karen Armstrong looks into the history of these texts, showing how religious practitioners' relationships with them have changed, and how many of us have lost sight of what they were originally written for.
