Kathryn Bond Stockton on Gender(s)

How many genders are there? Nonbinary.wiki lists 32 common genders — and that’s just the beginning. It can get confusing … and queer.

Writer and academic Kathryn Bond Stockton says gender is queer for everyone. In her new book Gender(s), Stockton explains the economic and racial implications of gender and asks us to look at gender anew — no matter who we are. As she explores gender's unexpected history, Stockton's work prompts the question: Who even is the opposite sex? Kathryn Bond Stockton joins us Friday at noon and Saturday at 11 a.m. to talk about Gender(s).

Kathryn Bond Stockton’s book is Gender(s) [Amazon|Indiebound].
