Remembering James "The Amazing" Randi

Used with permission from Tyler Measom

This week, the world lost James "The Amazing" Randi, who died at the age of 92 on Oct. 20. Randi was a renowned magician and escape artist, but, as we learned in 2014, he couldn't abide charlatans.

So he turned his energy to exposing psychics and con-artists with intricate investigations and hoaxes of his own. His story was the focus of The Honest Liar, a documentary by Salt Lake filmmaker Tyler Measom, which we featured in our Through the Lens film series. Measom joined us in 2014 to talk about Randi's crusade for truth and how all of us, even "The Amazing" Randi himself, are susceptible to deception.

You can see An Honest Liar on Amazon Prime.
