The Reckoning of Mitt Romney

Author photo credit: Jessie Pierce

When Mitt Romney was 17 years old, he attended the 1964 Republican national convention with his dad, then-governor of Michigan. George Romney, disgusted by the extremes he saw in his party, delivered a scathing rebuke. Years later, his son found himself in a very similar situation.

Today, we're talking with McKay Coppins about the life and career of Sen. Mitt Romney. Coppins's new biography reveals a man once concerned with broad appeal who is now worried about how he’ll be remembered — and staunch in his commitment to what he thinks is right. McKay Coppins joins us today at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. to talk about Mitt Romney’s reckoning with himself and his career.
