Of course, many churches have reserves of wealth and property. And many manage to twin the motives of profit and spirit. But, regardless of their balance sheets, all churches enjoy the advantage of being tax exempt. Today on the show, we’re asking if that should always be the case, especially when a church has hundreds of billions in investments and owns nearly two percent of Florida. We’ll explore the history of tax exemption for churches and ask how that has shaped their behavior today.
