Awe and the Science of Wonder with Dacher Keltner

You know that feeling you get when you see something so incredible that it transcends understanding? That’s awe. But, really, what is awe?

That’s one of the questions that Dacher Keltner sets out to answer in his book, “Awe: The New Science of Everyday Wonder and How it can Transform Your Life.” He’s a scientist who studies emotions, but his work is about a lot more than defining them. He wants to help people live the Good Life, and he believes leaning into awe is one of the best ways to do that. Awe, he says, is what compels us to share, to bond and build community. This Christmas Day Dacher Keltner joins us to talk about awe.

GUEST —

Dacher Keltner | Professor of psychology at University of California Berkeley. His book is called “Awe: The New Science of Everyday Wonder and How it can Transform Your Life” [Amazon|Bookshop].
