What We Get Right (And Wrong) About The Bible’s Most Controversial Ideas

Here’s how many debates about contentious societal issues stall out: someone declares, “because the Bible says so.” End of story. But what does the Bible say?

Dan McClellan is a Biblical scholar, and he actually does know what the Bible says — and what it doesn’t. The truth, he says, is that the Bible says many things, and a lot of the time, it doesn’t fit cleanly together. After all, it was written by different people who lived during different times and had different agendas. But what McClellan really cares about is what the Bible definitely doesn’t say, especially when this most influential of books is used to marginalize people. He’s joining us to talk about what the Bible actually says about homosexuality, abortion, God’s wife and more. And he’s got the data to back it up.
