Jon Ronson on a World of Unraveling Men

KUER

It was a series of texts from his son that sent the journalist Jon Ronson down the rabbit hole of masculinity in crisis. His new book explores what he found.

The first text he read — and the most recent from his son — said “We left. Was completely f*cked. All good now.” Ronson came to learn that his son and some of his friends had been lured to, well, an actual castle, in Connecticut of all places. There they met a man who wanted them to participate in something he called “Princessing,” and yes, costumes were involved. His name was Chris Mark, and he’s one of the men who Ronson says have become detached from reality in their efforts to cope with a speedily changing, post #MeToo world. Jon Ronson is joining us to talk about his misadventures in a world where some men seem to be falling apart.
