Is the Left Killing Free Speech?

In her latest book, liberal Fox News pundit Kirsten Powers explores what she sees as a worrying trend. The political left, she says, is attacking Americans’ right to freely express their beliefs. Powers decries how liberalism, once associated with open-mindedness and reason, has become a vehicle for ideological conformity, irrational prejudice, and Orwellian policing of speech and opinion. Powers is in Utah on Thursday, and she’ll join us to discuss her claim that the left is killing free speech.

On Thursday, September 17, Kirsten Powers is speaking at the Wildcat Theatre in the Shepherd Union on the Weber State University campus at 12 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. DETAILS

Kirsten Powers is a Fox News contributor and a columnist for USA Today. She has been published in the Wall Street Journal, New York Post, The Daily Beast, and many other media outlets. Prior to her career in journalism, she worked in Democratic Party politics and the Clinton administration. Her new book is called The Silencing: How the Left Is Killing Free Speech [Amazon|Indiebound].
