In a talk that LDS Apostle Jeffrey R. Holland gave at Brigham Young University earlier this week, he criticized faculty members and students who have challenged the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint’s teachings on same-sex marriage.

His speech has ruffled more than a few feathers. Holland called upon faithful LDS Church members to train “musket fire” on those who would criticize the church from within and said that BYU should hold the line on the faith’s policy regarding LGBTQ members, even if it costs the school “professional associations and certifications.” This Friday at noon we’re examining Holland’s speech and asking where the church is heading on the issue of LGBTQ rights.
